ManpowerGroup Senior Asset Accounting Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Our client, a leading organization in the utility and energy sector, is seeking a Senior Asset Accounting Manager to join their team. As a Senior Asset Accounting Manager, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Asset & Regulatory Accounting team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $80/HR W2

What's the Job?

  • Lead and oversee asset and regulatory accounting operations across multiple regulated utility jurisdictions.

  • Provide technical guidance, review complex accounting issues, and support regulatory compliance and filings.

  • Manage a team of asset and regulatory accountants, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality work.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Construction, Operations, and IT to ensure accurate asset tracking and reporting.

  • Support rate case filings, including preparation of asset schedules, depreciation studies, and regulatory disclosures, while serving as a regulatory accounting expert.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is strongly preferred.

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in regulated utility accounting, with a focus on asset/property accounting.

  • Deep understanding of regulatory accounting standards, rate case processes, and fixed asset management.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring accounting teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of serving as a testimony-level resource in regulatory proceedings.
