Job Title: Protection and Control Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing protection and control design on various substation projects. This role involves collaborating with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring that protection and control plans align with budget limitations, design requirements, and client needs. Preference is given to candidates with experience in protection and control design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform protection and control design for substation projects.

  • Collaborate with the project team during design and construction phases.

  • Adjust protection and control plans to meet budget limitations, design requirements, and client needs.

Essential Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited).

  • 3+ years of experience in protection & controls design for substations.

  • Experience with high voltage (35kv or greater, transmission level experience is key).

  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working within AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Beneficial to have data center experience.

Work Environment

The position involves working mainly in the office with approximately 10% travel to sites. The role offers benefits such as an ESOP Program and a large bonus structure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $170000.00/hr.
