Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a Division Chief for Pediatric Endocrinology. The Pediatric Endocrinology Division is a group of 7 physicians and 1 APP that serve 2 children’s hospitals and 4 outpatient locations. The Division Chief will be based at Levine Children’s in Charlotte.
Multidisciplinary care is provided for conditions such as Diabetes (Type 1 and 2), Metabolic Disorders, Thyroid Diseases, Abnormal Puberty, Adrenal Conditions, Pituitary Disorders, Growth Disorders, Cystic Fibrosis, and Hormone-Secreting Tumors. Ancillary support includes social work, dieticians, and educators as a complement to the care team.

Atrium Health, now a part of Advocate Health, broke ground on a second school of medicine campus- Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte – currently under construction in the heart of a new, life-sciences research-driven innovation district, named “The Pearl”. The medical school will seat its first class in 2025.
Responsibilities include:
Leadership and supervision of physicians and APPs
Growth of division-specific quality improvement plan
Expansion and oversight of outpatient satellite clinics
Clinical programmatic development
Participation in hospital, Department of Pediatrics, and system committees
Faculty development (leadership, clinical, academic).
Education – medical students, pediatric residents, and faculty
Shared call and inpatient consult responsibilities balanced with outpatient clinics
Candidate Requirements:
Board certification Pediatric Endocrinology
Successful track record of progressive leadership and mentorship
Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research development
Academic accomplishments that support appointment as an Associate or Full Professor
