Insight Global Network Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description

Day-to-Day:

 • Design, configure, and support network infrastructure required for SafeBreach simulations

 • Ensure correct network settings across internal networks, DMZs, and external environments

 • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple network segments and dependencies

 • Partner closely with application engineering, security teams, and internal stakeholders

 • Support production and development environments aligned with proper change control

 • Extract, interpret, and help analyze simulation results once the platform is operational

 • Provide hands-on technical expertise during a clean-slate security tool rollout

 • Navigate approval-heavy enterprise processes while maintaining project momentum

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer for a top financial services client to support the implementation of a next-generation cyber breach simulation platform. This is a highly technical, senior-level role focused on designing and troubleshooting complex enterprise network environments that span internal networks, DMZs, and global locations. The ideal candidate has deep networking expertise, thrives in regulated environments, and understands how to operate effectively within strict governance, access controls, and approval processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success of a high-visibility security initiative with aggressive delivery timelines.

Skills and Requirements

• Senior-level network engineering experience (architect-level strongly preferred)

 • Deep understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals down to the switch level

 • Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network environments

 • Experience supporting applications across multiple network segments and DMZs

 • Strong troubleshooting skills in highly regulated, high-dependency environments

 • Familiarity with enterprise change control, access governance, and approval workflows

 • Ability to work through long SLAs and dependency-heavy processes

Strong communication skills to explain complex network issues clearly • Experience implementing or supporting SafeBreach, Mandiant, or similar security/testing tools

 • Prior experience in a financial institution or regulated enterprise environment

 • Exposure to cyber breach simulation platforms or MITRE ATT&CK–mapped tools

Experience supporting globally distributed environments, including non-U.S. networks
