Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical direction on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers complex code modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise software solutions within various computing environments.
What You Will Do
Resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios; leads projects with significant business implications and participates in planning, prioritization and estimates.
Leads development of integrated business and/or enterprise application to ensure solution is resilient, scalable, and maintainable and meets architectural standards.
Builds awareness and product alignment to enterprise recommended frameworks, tools, technologies, engineering platforms, and architectural design processes.
Drives operational excellence through disaster recovery and capacity planning, performance, regression and chaos testing, observability alerts and dashboards, and reliability processes and recovery runbooks.
Deconstructs complex problems into simple solutions that can evolve over time.
Educates others on engineering standards and best practices, including code quality analysis, test coverage, security principles (authentication and authorization protocols), and Agile processes.
Mentors and advises others by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of enterprise and industry technologies, tools, methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices.
Continuously explores and recommends new enterprise software components and technologies.
Continuously works to simplify solutions, optimize processes, remove bottlenecks, and resolve escalated issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field or equivalent experience
7 years of experience in software development or related field
6 years of experience in any of the following: software engineering competencies frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware (microservices and APIs), database technologies, DevOps
6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development lifecycles through iterative agile development
Preferred Skills/Education
Master’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, including building scalable, high-performance applications using Spring Boot
4+ years of experience in reactive programming in Java (e.g., Project Reactor, Spring WebFlux), building non-blocking and asynchronous systems
8+ years of experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, including producers, consumers, stream processing, and message optimization
8+ years of experience developing and integrating RESTful web services, microservices architectures, and middleware solutions
5+ years of experience in systems analysis and design, including defining technical requirements and creating high-level and low-level designs for complex distributed systems
8+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, source code management, and DevOps practices (e.g., Git, Jenkins, containerization)
Strong experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and performance tuning in distributed environments
4+ years of experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving architecture decisions

Pay Range: $111,600.00 - $212,000.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
