The COO Technology group delivers technology solutions for the Chief Operating Office, supporting operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity, resiliency, data services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and corporate properties. Within COO Technology we are seeking a Lead Engineer who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale in a diverse environment. You will join a focused team of engineers introducing and advancing Artificial Intelligence solutions across Chief Administrative Office (CAO) platforms which include document processing, prompt engineering, etc., spanning multiple lines of business supporting the entire firm. The team will drive technology transformation and adoption of AI, Cloud and on-premise solutions integrating with enterprise platforms.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals across the enterprise and serve as an expert
Architect and deploy solutions on-premise and on Google Cloud (GCP), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
Deliver solutions by leveraging Agentic AI frameworks for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO)
Help drive adoption of enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation improving availability in a multi-cloud ecosystem by evolving observability, monitoring, logging, synthetic monitoring and chaos engineering
Introduce self-healing and autonomic capabilities solving complex operational and systemic issues with precision including, automating processes, leveraging Process Automation and AI/ML to improve availability of products we provide to customers
Translate AI engineering knowledge and business requirements into technical engineering solutions
Leverage expertise to implement innovative and significant business solutions
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years working with Python/Java, Python frameworks, Spring/JPA, Messaging Services (Kafka, MQ, JMS), AngularJS/jQuery/ExtJS/ReactJS
3+ years of experience with Cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
5+ years of experience with Microservice and Restful API development
5+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, designing and building distributed computing solutions using Test Driven Development (TDD)
5+ years of experience in Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others), bigdata platforms like Hadoop/MapR, columnar databases like Teradata etc.
5+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Automation Deployment toolkits)
5+ years working in an Agile development environment
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of Financial Industry experience
Experience working with LLM models and prompt engineering
Experience with caching technologies such as Coherence, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
Experience delivering solutions with UI/UX capabilities leveraging REST or GraphQL APIs
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus or AppDynamics
Knowledge of Kubernetes platforms (preferably RedHat OpenShift)
Google / Azure / Amazon Cloud certifications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work onsite 3 days/week at one of posted locations
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
