Wells Fargo Lead Project Manager (Talent Acquisition) in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join Talent Acquisition (TA)Transformation & Innovation Team . This position will support the TA28 technology change efforts to drive alignment, executive engagement, change readiness, and effective integration across TA28 while working in close collaboration with TA enablement functions, HR Centers of Excellence, and Legal and Risk partners. The role will serve as the hands‑on project leader for a high-priority TA program.

This role will partner closely with Product, Talent Acquisition teams, Communications, Operations, Procurement, and cross‑functional HR partners to ensure disciplined execution, well‑structured change management, and clear alignment across all “TA 28” initiative workstreams. The project manager brings strong analytical capability, planning, execution discipline, and a consultative approach to navigating ambiguous, complex, and fast‑moving environments.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of a major Talent Acquisition (TA) transformation workstream, owning scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.

  • Establish and maintain rigorous project management discipline, including integrated plans, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, and readiness for launch and adoption.

  • Drive execution through data‑driven analysis, conducting fact‑finding and assessments to resolve complex problems and recommend pragmatic solutions.

  • Partner with the Business Execution Director to support portfolio governance, reporting, and alignment across TA transformation initiatives.

  • Act as the primary project lead and coordination point across TA, Product, HR Advisory, Communications, Operations, Procurement, and Recruiting Delivery teams.

  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment on project scope, timelines, resourcing, and communication strategies to ensure delivery against strategic objectives.

  • Translate business and program requirements into structured project plans, change and engagement strategies, and execution roadmaps.

  • Develop and deliver executive‑ready materials, including status updates, presentations, decision decks, talking points, and readiness assessments.

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, impacts, gaps, and interdependencies across the TA ecosystem, escalating as appropriate.

  • Apply enterprise and organizational knowledge to anticipate downstream impacts and manage complex, multi‑factor change scenarios.

  • Own delivery outcomes, making decisions in ambiguous and fast‑moving environments while managing project‑level processes, metrics, and controls.

  • Demonstrate strong change leadership, applying policy, methodology, and artifact development to drive adoption and sustainable outcomes.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, project leads, and sponsors, consulting to clarify requirements and drive decisions.

  • Support continuous improvement within TA Transformation & Innovation by contributing to playbooks, templates, standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, ideally within a large, matrixed organization

  • Strong program/project management capabilities with the ability to manage detailed plans, risks, and cross‑functional dependencies.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale Talent Acquisition projects or programs, including cross-functional alignment, execution oversight, and measurable impact on recruiting operations and outcomes

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into structured project plans, updates, and executive‑ready materials.

  • Proficiency with collaboration and documentation tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear, compelling presentations and tell the story through visuals and narrative.

  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills; ability to connect concepts across multiple workstreams and distill complexity.

  • Experience with HR Recruiting tools/technology transformation (Applicant Tracking System, Candidate Relationship Management, automation tools, conversational AI, sourcing technology, workflow modernization).

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across teams without authority and navigate a highly matrixed environment.

  • Change management experience and comfort driving stakeholder engagement and adoption plans.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
