Wells Fargo Lead Business Execution Consultant - Payments Operations in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant for Global Operations, Payments Operations, Payments Services organization. This role will focus on data analysis, building new automation efforts for the organization, and be utilized with other production teams.
In this role, you will:
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of consulting experience, preferably in data analysis
Advanced data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret large, complex datasets and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
Experience building and scaling automation solutions (e.g., process automation, dashboards, reporting enhancements) to improve operational efficiency
Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Excel (advanced), Power BI/Tableau, or similar analytics platforms
Strong data validation, data governance, and controls mindset within regulated environments
Experience supporting strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business priorities
Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and efficiency optimization in large enterprise environments
Familiarity with payments operations, transaction processing, or financial services operational workflows
Understanding of end-to-end operational processes, dependencies, and downstream impacts
Consulting-style communication skills, including executive-ready presentations, clear recommendations, and data-backed storytelling
Ability to influence without direct authority, driving alignment across cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor junior consultants or analysts, setting standards for execution and problem-solving
Experience driving process improvements and change initiatives, including adoption and sustainability
Strong planning, prioritization, and initiative tracking skills
Job Expectations:
Flexibility in work hours is required to support operational coverage through 8:00 PM ET.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule
