Actalent Interior Designer in Charlotte, North Carolina
Job Title: Interior DesignerJob Summary
The Interior Designer will support all phases of design and project management under the direction of a project manager. This role includes meeting with clients to understand their goals and vision, collaborating with the design team to develop concepts, and selecting FF&E that aligns with the project’s aesthetic, functional needs, and budget. The ideal candidate brings creativity, strong technical skills, and an ability to communicate design ideas effectively.
Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand their needs, goals, and overall project vision.
Collaborate with the design team to develop project concepts, materials, and finish palettes.
Select FF&E that supports the project’s design intent, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
Support project architects and interior designers in creating and organizing design documentation.
Coordinate with other disciplines, including lighting consultants and MEP engineers.
Adhere to project schedules, deadlines, and deliverable requirements.
Maintain drawing quality and ensure documentation accuracy.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Experience in interior design, architecture, and space planning.
Strong verbal and visual communication skills with the ability to receive and integrate feedback.
High level of creativity and conceptual design ability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong portfolio showcasing past interior design work.
Resourcefulness in identifying unique materials and finish options.
Strong graphic design and presentation layout skills.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and FF&E specification development preferred.
Hand drawing and color rendering skills are a plus.
Work Environment
You will join a 30-person Charlotte firm with a balanced architecture and interiors practice. The new Wesley Heights office offers free parking and fosters a friendly, team-oriented atmosphere. This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
