Waste Connections Inside Sales Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina

Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a Inside Sales Representative to join our GROWING Charlotte, NC market area.

This role is perfect for a driven, customer-focused professional who wants to build relationships and grow with an industry leader!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively over email and phone with customers.

  • Respond to customer inquiries- via phone and email to resolve customer issues.

  • Liaise with internal teams to determine service requirements, resolve issues, or complaints.

  • Sufficient understanding of RMO and ARES, preferred.

  • Coordinate the setup and installation of new accounts.

  • Creates and closes out work orders.

  • Analyze accountancy activity and suggest opportunities for service improvements to the customer.

  • Maintain appropriate documentation, per company policy and internal controls.

  • Reconcile customer balances and perform customer audits.

  • Understand customers’ aging balances and our local collections policy.

  • Reach out to Broker Accounts with any past due balances

  • Understand broker contract language such as, price increases, terms and conditions, service increases/decreases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain products and services to customers.

  • Strong multitasking abilities and excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience working with CRM systems or sales tracking tools is a plus.

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Comfortable making outbound calls and handling inbound sales inquiries.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

  • Prior inside sales, customer service, or call center experience preferred.

  • Physical ability: Able to complete sedentary work requiring prolonged sitting, able to complete repetitive motions such as typing/mouse use/operating a phone, ability to look at a screen for long periods of time, tolerate exposure to typical call center sounds and wearing a headset.
