Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. Come join a remarkable team where quality care meets quality service, in every dimension, every time.
Primary work location will be Ballantyne, with occasional floating to the Matthews clinic as needed.
Will support both regular clinic operations and the infusion clinic schedule.

What We're Looking For
Education
High School Diploma or GED – Required
Medical Assistant Certification – Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
CMA – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
CCMA – National Health Career Association (NHA)
RMA – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
American Allied Health (AAH)
RMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
Candidates must provide proof of current certification from one of the following approved registries:
If not currently certified, the candidate must:
Obtain certification or registration by the end of the 6th month of hire
Sign an education agreement
Experience
Previous medical office experience – Preferred
Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096
Licensure /Certification
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire – Required Life Support Training per NH-HR-3096 – Required Current State Driver’s License – Required (Palliative Care roles only)
