Front Desk & Warehouse Representative

Location: Greater Charleston, WV

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

Pay: $16/hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Manpower is hiring a Front Desk & Warehouse Representative for a well-established employer in the Greater Charleston Area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with contractors and tradespeople while also pitching in on the warehouse side to keep operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and tradespeople with a friendly, professional approach

  • Recommend products and provide accurate pricing, inventory, and availability information

  • Process transactions efficiently using a tracking system

  • Respond to phone and email inquiries regarding orders, products, and deliveries

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter and showroom

  • Resolve customer questions or concerns with a problem-solving mindset

  • Stay current on product updates, promotions, and industry trends

Warehouse & Fulfillment

  • Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for accurate and timely fulfillment

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders

  • Restock shelves and maintain organized warehouse storage areas

  • Assist with inventory tasks including cycle counts and product labeling

  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed (training provided)

  • Coordinate closely with front desk staff to ensure seamless order flow

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in retail, counter sales, warehouse, or a construction/supply environment

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting

  • Comfort using computers and point-of-sale systems

  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs regularly and stand or walk for extended periods

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of building materials, masonry products, tools, or construction supplies

  • Experience working with contractors or trade professionals

  • Prior warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience
