About The Role:
Norstella’s Real-World Data (RWD) capabilities are a strategic growth priority. As we scale, we are seeking a leader to bring structure and repeatability to how these capabilities are packaged and delivered to market.
The VP, RWD Product & Offering Management will define and operationalize the offering architecture across the RWD portfolio — translating data capabilities into clearly defined, scalable products. This role plays a central part in shaping the long-term structure, coherence, and scalability of Norstella’s RWD business.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this leader partners across Platform Product, Data Science & Informatics, Data Delivery, Commercial, and Technology to ensure the portfolio scales with clarity, consistency, and commercial discipline.
What You Will Own:
Offering Architecture & SKU Discipline
Define and maintain a clear, scalable RWD offering architecture, including standard and enhanced tiers.
Establish formal criteria that differentiate tiers, including data scope, enrichment, documentation standards and service components.
Establish clear criteria for standard offerings and custom configurations to support scalable growth.
Partner with commercial leadership to ensure offerings are intuitive, defensible and aligned to market demand.
Productization Framework (Lab → Product )
Define and operationalize the framework that transitions research-grade RWD assets into commercially ready offerings.
Establish readiness gates, documentation requirements, validation criteria, and packaging standards.
Create repeatable playbooks for how new capabilities become sellable products.
Ensure alignment across platform, data science, and delivery teams before offerings reach market.
Governance & Repeatability
Own the governance model for RWD offerings, including SKU creation, updates and versioning.
Drive consistency in how offerings are described, scoped and delivered.
Reduce friction between commercial, product and delivery through structured decision frameworks.
Act as cross-functional quarterback to align roadmaps and resolve prioritization trade-offs
Transparency, Documentation & Trust
Oversee standardized data dictionaries and business logic documentation across the RWD portfolio.
Ensure customers understand how data is constructed, what rules are applied, and how outputs should be interpreted.
Elevate documentation from ad hoc artifacts to product-grade assets.
Partner with Informatics for clinical validation while owning how validated assets are presented and packaged.
Usability & Assistance
Define the product vision for enhanced usability and user assistance within RWD offerings.
Partner with technology and data science to embed AI-driven onboarding, contextual explanation, and interpretive guidance.
Ensure clarity, trust, and user adoption — not complexity.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a small, high-impact team focused on offering management and documentation.
Set clear standards for quality, speed, and accountability.
Scale the team responsibly as portfolio complexity grows.
What Success Looks Like
A clearly defined and rationalized RWD SKU architecture.
Formalized lab-to-product readiness criteria adopted across teams.
Standardized documentation and business logic transparency across offerings.
Improved cross-functional alignment and delivery consistency
Qualifications
10+ years in product management, product strategy, or data product leadership within healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise data environments.
Demonstrated experience commercializing real-world data products, including defining offerings, tier structures, positioning, and go-to-market alignment.
Demonstrated experience industrializing or rationalizing a multi-SKU data product portfolio.
Experience working closely with data science, engineering, and commercial teams — with credibility across technical, clinical and business audiences.
Experience defining governance models that balance standardization with customer flexibility in growing organizations.
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority in matrixed environments.
3+ years leading and developing product or product-adjacent teams
5+ years of direct experience working with real-world data assets (claims, EMR, linked datasets) in a product, analytics, or commercialization capacity.
Experience incorporating AI or automation into product usability is a strong plus.
Who You Are
You think in systems, not features.
You value clarity, structure, and repeatability.
You are comfortable saying “no” to protect scale.
You turn complexity into disciplined offerings.
You care about trust, transparency and commercial viability.
You thrive in high-growth environments that are moving from hustle to structure.
