Cognizant Senior Architect – SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) in Charleston, West Virginia
Position Summary
The Senior SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) Architect is an enterprise IAM strategist responsible for large-scale identity modernization, Zero Trust alignment, and cloud-native identity architecture. This role leads multi-year IAM transformation programs and ensures SailPoint ISC capabilities meet enterprise security, compliance, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
• Define enterprise-wide SailPoint ISC architecture and roadmap.
• Create IAM standards, reference architectures, and maturity models.
• Lead modernization initiatives including migration from legacy IAM to ISC.
• Drive cloud identity federation, entitlement consolidation, and strategic IAM adoption.
• Influence C-level stakeholders on identity risks, investments, and transformation strategy.
2. Solution Design & Technical Leadership
• Architect complex, multi-region, multi-cloud SailPoint ISC solutions.
• Define identity lifecycle standards, provisioning logic, workflows, and risk-based access.
• Oversee advanced connector design, transformations, rules, and event-driven integrations.
• Guide identity schema design, authoritative source hierarchy, and governance models.
• Lead solution design workshops, PoCs, and high-level architecture reviews.
3. Governance, Risk & Compliance Leadership
• Establish IAM governance frameworks and lead technical review boards.
• Design certification strategy, SoD policies, and access governance controls.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOX, ISO, NIST, HIPAA, and Zero Trust principles.
• Lead identity risk assessments and audit engagements for IAM architecture.
4. Integration Architecture & Automation
• Architect integrations with HR, ITSM, cloud directories, and enterprise applications.
• Leverage REST APIs, SCIM, Webhooks, and serverless automation patterns.
• Lead enterprise role mining, access modeling, and role lifecycle governance.
• Use SailPoint Identity Intelligence for peer analysis and outlier detection.
5. Program Leadership & Delivery Oversight
• Serve as architecture authority across all SailPoint programs.
• Manage technical delivery teams, implementation partners, and engineering squads.
• Conduct design reviews, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor architects and engineers, and support enterprise-level decision making.
6. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Define operational KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and audit frameworks.
• Optimize ISC performance, monitoring, connector tuning, and identity lifecycle efficiency.
• Conduct maturity assessments and drive continuous enhancements in governance automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 12+ years in IAM with 5–7 years in SailPoint IdentityNow/ISC architecture.
• Deep expertise with connectors, workflows, rules, transformations, policies, certifications, and access models.
• Strong understanding of AD, Azure AD, LDAP, HR systems, ITSM, and cloud identity patterns.
• Strong scripting and integration experience using APIs, PowerShell, JSON, serverless functions.
• Expertise in OAuth, SAML, SCIM, OIDC, JWT, and Zero Trust architectures.
Preferred Skills
• SailPoint Certified Identity Security Engineer.
• Experience migrating from IdentityIQ to Identity Security Cloud.
• Exposure to PAM tools such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
• Strong cloud security design experience (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership capabilities.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until March 30th 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 101,250 K -$ 160,000 K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
