About the Role
We are seeking a Quantitative Data Analyst to contribute to and support a cross-site evaluation. The role will support survey/interview design, data cleaning, FISMA Compliance, quantitative codebook development and implementation, data manuals, and large-scale, multi-site data collection for a cross-site evaluation. The position will work closely with the Research Coordinator, Project Manager, Evaluation Lead, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to our public health federal customer’s requirements, as well as federal and local requirements.
This is a fully remote position based in the United States. An estimated 5-10% travel will be required. This position is contingent upon contract award
Responsibilities
Support the development of evaluation plans, data collection tools, abstraction tool/coding, analysis, and draft reports on evaluation data. The Quantitative Data Analyst will work with a team to develop quantitative data collection tools, coordinate data collection, and conduct an analysis of the quantitative data. The suite of data collection tools developed for may include 1) an abstraction template/coding for analyzing information from existing sources, 2) survey with closed-ended and open-ended questions, and 3) focus group and/or interview/question guides with open-ended questions, probes, and structured response questions for obtaining information.
Provide consultation based on data analysis and findings to support the project as needed.
Develop data dissemination resources, including presentation slides and development of informational webinars.
In addition, provide programmatic support and coordination to include communication and collaboration with CDC staff and external grantees.
Have extensive experience in development of quantitative data collection tools, codebook development, data cleaning, and techniques for the purposes of process and outcome evaluations.
Support meeting logistics, agenda development and note-taking.
Collaborate with contract program manager to develop a project work plan and be responsible for timely completion of deliverables to meet the needs of the funder and program manager.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
2-4 years of experience leading quantitative data analytics projects
Experience with statistical software (NVivo) and excellent data communication skills.
Strong background performing data analysis including statistical methods.
Experience coding, validating, cleaning, and analyzing clinical data from multiple sources.
Experience serving as a consultant (internal or external) on analytic projects.
The ability to provide technical assistance to internal and external team members and stakeholders.
Experience supporting and/or conducting literature, program and resource reviews and reporting findings.
Experience analyzing quantitative and some qualitative data, with heavy emphasis on qualitative analysis.
Experience visualizing data and writing data analysis summary reports.
Strong quantitative skills.
Strong and effective organization and communication skills.
Experience working with/in a public health federal agency preferred.
Experience with SAS and SPSS preferred
Ability to obtain a government clearance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Education and Training
- BA/BS in a related field, Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology or Data Analysis preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
