Our client seeks a Business Project Manager to lead the end-to-end business execution and go-to-market planning for a complex, cross-functional Specialty Benefits Individual Dental and Vision initiative. The role will integrate strategy, delivery, and adoption across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Underwriting, Finance, Billing, Enrollment, and technology partners. The manager will own the unified business program plan, drive stakeholder engagement and governance, and ensure risk-managed, on-time execution and rollout. Success will depend on strong communication, matrix leadership, change management, and agile program delivery experience.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end business program plan, integrating all workstreams into a cohesive roadmap and project plan.

  • Develop and maintain individual workstream plans and the overarching program plan with aligned dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Drive execution across strategy, go-to-market, marketing, communications, training, rollout, change management, and support workstreams.

  • Identify and manage interdependencies across workstreams to ensure alignment and reduce silos.

  • Lead a matrixed team of cross-functional resources and drive accountability at workstream and program levels.

  • Partner with workstream leads to connect detailed execution to program strategy and outcomes.

  • Define and align roles, responsibilities, and resource allocation with the Enterprise Technology project manager.

  • Build relationships through trust, transparency, and clear communication.

  • Align sales, marketing, communications, and execution plans across all workstreams.

  • Define and drive training strategy, development, ownership, rollout approach, and user readiness.

  • Establish, track, and represent marketing and communications strategies with consistent internal and external messaging.

  • Develop and manage communication plans covering changes, timelines, user impacts, and required actions with leads and SMEs.

  • Ensure execution across appropriate channels including internal communications, leadership cascades, external platforms, and websites.

  • Lead the change management workstream to enable alignment, transparency, and successful rollout.

  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy including stakeholder and user readiness across impacted audiences.

  • Align change management with training, communications, and execution strategies to drive adoption and minimize disruption.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement strategy, communication, and governance to ensure alignment across all levels.

  • Facilitate cross-team discussions, governance forums, and decision-making sessions.

  • Act as the central communication conduit across teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.

  • Provide regular briefings and status updates for transparency, alignment, and timely decisions.

  • Drive momentum and accountability, ensuring priorities are clear, actionable, and progressing.

  • Proactively identify risks and hidden issues and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Anticipate changes and challenges and adjust plans to maintain delivery confidence.

  • Ensure go-live readiness with checklists, support models, and hypercare planning with vendors.

  • Integrate business project plans, risks, assumptions, issues, and status reporting into a comprehensive program view with technology and business leads.

  • Continuously assess workstream progress and determine overall program health.

  • Co-own project status reporting with the Enterprise Technology project manager for stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Monitor adherence to vendor statements of work in partnership with supporting teams.

Experience Requirements:

  • 8 to 10 years of business project management and complex program leadership experience.

  • Proven large scale program leadership with matrix team accountability.

  • Strategic planning with the ability to align strategy, plans, resources, and KPIs to business objectives.

  • Governance experience including stakeholder management, KPI communication, and change management leadership.

  • Consultative skills with the ability to provide recommendations and solutions based on research and experience.

  • Business process improvement experience creating new approaches to business activities.

  • Organizational change management planning and implementation.

  • Sales and business support experience partnering with Operations, Underwriting, Enrollment, Account Service, Product, Marketing, and technology teams.

  • Collaboration skills mapping dependencies across teams and contributing as a project team member.

  • Risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation judgment with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Prioritization and dependency mapping with flexibility to re-prioritize based on risks and deadlines.

  • Strong project and task management with reliable tracking, monitoring, and communication of issues.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement with the ability to simplify complexity and influence.

  • Proactive risk identification and problem solving with analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong business and technical acumen with SDLC and Agile experience connecting business needs and technology.

  • Health insurance or managed care industry experience (preferred).

Education Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Business, or equivalent work experience.
