Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Coordinator performs computerized tomography procedures as outlined by the radiologist. The CT coordinator is responsible for checking the diagnostic quality of all films, training department staff and responding to questions from both medical physicians and other hospital departments. Operates diagnostic equipment, verifies images and prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. The CT coordinator assists the CT Supervisor with all leadership duties to include, but not limited to, employee scheduling, annual employee evaluations, clerical, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning and anything deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the imaging management team. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
What qualifications you will need:
Licensure/Certification:
ARRT required
SCRQSA required
BLS required
CT Registry required.
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Experience :
A minimum of 2 years of CT experience preferred.
Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities.
Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal and external customer.
