Job Title: Maintenance Scheduler
Job Description
The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment reliability and minimal downtime. This role works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and lean teams to develop and improve the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs, manage work orders, and drive continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly maintenance schedules based on work orders, priorities, and resource availability.
Coordinate with maintenance technicians, planners, and operations staff to ensure work is properly assigned and completed on time.
Review and prioritize maintenance requests to align with production requirements and safety standards.
Track the progress of scheduled maintenance tasks and update work order statuses in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Develop statements of work (SOW) and collaborate with external teams to enhance and improve the CMMS system.
Help develop and support a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Adjust maintenance schedules as needed to accommodate emergency repairs or changes in production plans.
Analyze maintenance data and generate reports on equipment downtime, backlog, and schedule compliance.
Support preventive maintenance initiatives and reliability improvement projects.
Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams regarding upcoming maintenance activities and potential impacts on operations.
Maintain accurate and complete records of maintenance activities for audit and compliance purposes.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of CMMS software and its use in planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance work.
Practical understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and their application in an industrial setting.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with maintenance, operations, engineering, and lean teams.
Solid problem-solving abilities to address scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, and process improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience using CMMS platforms and participating in system improvements or upgrades.
Experience contributing to the development or implementation of TPM programs.
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to analyze maintenance data and prepare clear, actionable reports on downtime, backlog, and schedule adherence.
Comfort working cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, engineering, and lean or continuous improvement teams.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based, with periodic visits to production or plant areas to coordinate and verify maintenance activities. The role may require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet scheduling demands and support critical maintenance activities. The environment involves regular use of computer systems, including CMMS and standard office software, and collaboration with both office and plant personnel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
