Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent from an accredited institution. This role requires 3 years of engineering design experience in a high-volume production and product development environment, focusing on consumer products or appliances.
Responsibilities
Design and develop high-volume manufactured parts and component pieces using CAD modeling, with a preference for SolidWorks.
Validate parts and components by interpreting and working from blueprints.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
Lead projects with minimal management direction, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Support the transition of suppliers and validate pieces to bring them into operation.
Apply engineering tools such as FMEA, DOE, DVP&R, RCCM, PLM, and Risk Analysis to improve product processes.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD modeling.
Experience with high-volume production environments.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with castings, machined metal parts, and injection molded components.
Familiarity with ERP systems and blueprint reading.
Strong knowledge of product improvement processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Chardon, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
