As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. You will play a crucial role in supporting our award-winning Insider Threat Detection mission.

  • Manages the organization’s computer systems’ workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software

  • Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures

  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues

  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software

  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages

  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels

  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions

  • Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Senior must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience

  • Technical skills: Experience with Windows Server and desktop administration, experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large variety of COTS applications, familiarity with layer 2 and 3 networking concepts, experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments

  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Poly (or eligibility)

  • US citizenship required

  • Role requirements: DoD 8570 IAT II Certification

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
