Space Systems Integration Senior Space Systems Program Acquisition Lead in Chantilly, Virginia

SSI is seeking aSenior Space Systems Program Acquisition Leadto oversee the initiation and management of mission-critical government programs, located in Chantilly, VA.
This role requires a sophisticated understanding of government acquisition frameworks. The successful candidate will navigate the transition from program initiation to full-scale acquisition, ensuring that space-based capabilities are delivered with speed and technical precision.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Space-Domain Acquisition: Manage the "cradle-to-grave" acquisition lifecycle for satellite systems, ground segments, or space-link architectures. Experience with the US Space Force (USSF) program acquisition is preferred.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute Acquisition Strategy Plans (ASP) tailored to rapid prototyping and Middle Tier of Acquisition (Section 804) pathways.
- High-Security Liaison: Coordinate directly with government Contracting Officers and Program Managers within restricted environments to ensure mission success.
- Requirement Analysis: Translate complex operational needs into actionable Performance Work Statements (PWS) and technical Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to FAR/DFARS and specific USSF/SSC (Space Systems Command) acquisition instructions.

Required Qualifications:
::: {qa="posting-requirements"} - USSF Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically supporting US Space Force, Air Force Space Command, or related space-system acquisition offices (e.g., SSC, SDA, DARPA).
Education: Bachelors degree in a STEM or Business field; DAWIA or FAC-C Level III certification in Program Management or Contracting is highly preferred.
Federal Acquisition Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of the federal procurement process and the JCIDS (Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System).
Technical Proficiency:Expert-level command ofMicrosoft Office 365(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for briefing development and data management.
Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required.
Environment/Schedule:100% onsite, located in a SCIF. Candidate must be comfortable working full time in a closed environment. :::
