Chenega Corporation Procurement & Logistics Intern in Chantilly, Virginia
Summary
The Intern will support the Procurement, Logistics, and Asset Management functions within the Security Strategic Business Unit, working closely with and reporting to the Asset Management Specialist. This role provides handson experience with purchasing support, inventory tracking, equipment lifecycle management, and logistics coordination across multiple programs and project sites. The intern will assist with maintaining accurate asset records, monitoring order statuses, organizing documentation, and supporting daytoday operational tasks that ensure efficient and compliant procurement and logistics operations. This position is ideal for someone interested in supply chain, asset management, government contracting, or operations support.
Responsibilities
What You'll Get To Do:
Provide administrative support for procurement and logistics tasks (filing, data entry, record updates).
Prepare meeting notes, agendas, or action items for the Asset Management Specialist.
Assist in developing process improvements or documentation updates (SOPs, checklists, logs).
Support special projects as assigned by the Procurement/Logistics team.
Maintain accurate documentation for procurement files, asset records, and audit trails.
Assist with ensuring compliance with internal policies and contractspecific requirements.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High School Diploma or GED required.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program as a rising junior or senior.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
