SAIC Information Systems Security Officer in Chantilly, Virginia
Description
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and self-motivated Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our exceptional Information Assurance (IA) and Information Security (InfoSec) team. This position requires a results-driven professional with a strong background in information security, capable of managing the security posture of multiple systems simultaneously while excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Information Assurance, providing leadership in compliance, risk management, and operational security. As an ISSO, you will collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and senior leadership, ensuring systems comply with applicable cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and regulatory guidelines. A high need for exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate verbal and written technical concepts to diverse audiences are key requirements for this role. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance.
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
DoD 8570 IAT/IAM level II or III certificate
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years' experience performing and providing security support to hardware, software, and applications. Master’s degree and 3 years. (Bachelor's Degree in a related field may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience)
Self-starter with the ability to operate independently without supervision but also plays well with others and wants to help the team and mission succeed
Proficient and effective written and verbal communicator, able to initiate communication with SAIC management and Government agencies for support and compliance requirements
