Koniag Government Services Business Intelligence/Report Developer (REMOTE) in Chantilly, Virginia
Kadiak, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Business Intelligence/Report Developer to support Kadiak and our government customer. This position is remote.

This position will be part of a team supporting a Federal client with a business and IT modernization project. The Business Intelligence Developer / Report Developer will support multiple projects in the planning, requirements gathering, design, testing and successful implementation of data marts, operational reports and analytics.
This position may involve some or all of the following: gathering requirements, developing design documentation, writing SQL stored procedures, developing PowerBI dashboards, developing PowerBI Reports with Report Builder, assisting with sprint planning and management of sprints in progress, performing and coordinating functional testing and data validation.
The Business Intelligence Developer / Report Developer will have experience in and knowledge of the full software development life cycle using the agile methodology as well as experience with data and process discovery and data modeling.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Working in a collaborative team environment
Executing to project plans and schedules
Creating user stories, tasks and bugs in Azure DevOps
Facilitating meetings with customer teams to capture and distill requirements down to analytic or operational reporting recommendations
Contribute to data warehouse, data mart, report and analytic designs
Performing data gap analysis in preparation for data modeling and ETLs
Documenting end-user requirements, “to be” data processes, data process and logic flows, data models
Performing and writing analytics assessments for customer teams
Creating design specifications for analytics and data visualizations
Developing PowerBI dashboards and Report Builder operational reports
Performing and coordinating data validation and functional testing
General trouble shooting and creative problem solving
Developing testing, training, and maintenance plans
Deploying PowerBI and Report Builder dashboards and reports to development, test and production environments
Creating technical documentation
Facilitating client relations
Requirements:
Min: 5 years experience developing PowerBI dashboards, PowerBI Report Builder, T-SQL stored procedures
Min: 5 years experience writing T-SQL to mine and validate data
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform preferred
Proven command of editorial, grammatical, and writing skills
Experience managing competing priorities and multiple deadlines
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Natural trouble-shooter
Clearly communicating technical/business issues and impact to project management and the customer
Willing to regularly remind decision makers of deadlines and decisions that are needed
Well-developed organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
Ability to organize various technical options into clear and quantifiable business cases for consideration by management
Understands development platforms, database and data warehouse technologies
Experience using TFS or Azure DevOps preferred; or experience with similar IT ALM tools
Must be able to exercise initiative and creativity to move projects forward and complete activities
Education:
- Preferred - BS degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years working with Microsoft PowerBI, Report Builder, Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), T-SQL, data modeling, data marts and data warehouses.
