Eaton Corporation Healthcare and Institutions Director in Chanhassen, Minnesota
Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Healthcare and Institutions Director. This is a home-based position where candidates must reside within 75 miles of the following locations to be considered for the position: Glendale Heights, IL; Menomonee Falls, WI; Parma, OH; West Chester, OH; Fenton, MO; Indianapolis, IN or Chanhassen, MN.
What you’ll do:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Zone Regional Vice President, the director is responsible for three critical growth strategies in these two end user segments:
Primarily, the segment director will identify 10-15 strategic major health networks and 10-15 strategic universities across the zone and drive sales growth across all Eaton brands. Utilizing the marketing strategies developed by the global segment director, zone manager, district managers and Eaton’s division marketing managers, the director will create demand for Eaton products/services resulting in sales that outperforms market growth. Sales will be tracked by annual invoices at the end customers.
In addition, the segment director will identify the top eight to 10 engineering design firms focused on healthcare and education and will provide high level support and direction for these firms as they begin conceptual work and strategic design for key projects. This effort will augment the work done by district application engineers already supporting the front-line engineers doing budgets and layouts for capital projects.
Finally, the segment director will deploy Eaton’s marketing message of energy transition and digitalization into these two end user segments. The director will develop and deploy clear messaging around alternative energy solutions, digital platforms, and microgrids into these end user segments as well as their partner design firms.
In this function you will:
• Leverage Eaton’s national ASHE and IDEA partnerships into local affiliations; the director will become active in the regional chapters of ASHE providing educational content for meetings and potentially board involvement
• Support the district managers and NAS with regular communication about local involvement as well as consistent participation in district meetings
• Leverage Eaton resources such as solutions architects, energy transition applications engineers and C&I reps to bring about complete Eaton brand awareness into these end user segments
• Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines and use sound business judgment to enhance margins
• Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management
• Ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers
• Implement new product programs as needed
• Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits
• Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Glendale Heights, IL; Menomonee Falls, WI; Parma, OH; West Chester, OH; Fenton, MO; Indianapolis, IN or Chanhassen, MN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years of electrical industry sales experience

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $167,250 - $245,300.
Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
