Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Central Services Technician, you will be a vital link in patient care, ensuring the highest quality, sterile instrumentation is always available to medical teams.

Every day, you will meticulously process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, assembling trays, conducting quality checks, and maintaining inventory. You'll provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring tools are safe and ready for procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to sterilization protocols, working efficiently and expertly to support optimal outcomes.

  • Assists with implementation of infection control policies.

  • Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment and other medical devices.

  • Appropriate use of manual disinfectants.

  • Follows manufacturer recommendations.

  • Functions as a resource regarding decontamination practices.

  • Knowledge/ use of high/low temp sterilizers including ability to analyze mechanical printout to ensure sterilization parameters are met.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • High School Graduate General Studies and 18 months of surgical instrument technician experience, upon hire or

  • High School GED General Studies and 18 months of surgical instrument technician experience, upon hire

  • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician, upon hire or

  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, upon hire
