Actalent Site Safety Manager in Chandler, Arizona
Job Title: Site Safety ManagerJob Description
As a Site Safety Manager, you will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, programs, and procedures. You will perform risk assessments, implement measures to mitigate risks, and ensure that safety inspections are completed at all facilities. Your role will involve creating customer-specific safety program adaptations and reporting key performance indicators.
Responsibilities
Identify and mitigate hazards at assigned job sites and continuously monitor these risks.
Ensure timely and accurate investigation, reporting, and preventive actions for accidents and incidents.
Conduct safety meetings and provide updates to managers.
Assist in the development, review, and update of installation site safety plans.
Audit contractor safety programs and work with them to align with internal and customer expectations.
Ensure completion of all required site-specific safety training for personnel.
Arrange for health and safety testing and evaluations by external agencies.
Liaise with customers regarding emergency procedures and safety education programs.
Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the company.
Lead and manage Safety Coordinators and contractor safety personnel.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in safety management and program creation within manufacturing or semiconductor construction environments.
Ability to evaluate safety and work with management to implement positive changes.
Strong leadership skills to set goals, monitor performance, and provide training and coaching.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience managing safety coordinators across multiple sites.
Capability to coordinate day-to-day activities with the operations team.
Experience in administering environmental, health, and safety programs.
Strong communication skills to act as a liaison with customer and contracted personnel.
Work Environment
The role requires regular physical activity, including using hands to handle objects, reaching with arms, and talking or hearing. Employees must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and work at heights. The job may involve lifting up to 25 pounds. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
