PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Job type: Full-time Schedule: 8 Hour Shift, Occasional Overtime, Day Shift NOTE: the current work schedule is 7 AM to 3:30 PM. 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and two 10-minute breaks per shift.

Job description: Primary Focus: Supervise, train and assist employees assigned to filling and packaging assembly lines and line support while ensuring that all production, quality, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Install, set up, and adjust a battery of complex production machines and equipment, (including, but not limited to: liquid and powder fillers, heat tunnels, silk screening equipment, automatic carton formers, labelers, sealers, label printers, cappers, and conveyor lines) according to specifications and production requirements Carry out production line changeovers including line flushing, equipment adjustments and verification of operational readiness to meet schedule, quality & safety standards. Repair and maintain production machines and equipment; in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufactures specifications; using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments Diagnose complex equipment failures Adjust sensitive electrical, thermal, and timing elements to meet specifications Set up and operate drill press, grinder, & other metal working tools to make/repair equipment parts Carry out preventative maintenance procedures according to schedules; maintain repair and parts replacement logs Keep specification and setup records updated for all production machinery and equipment Carry out other departmental duties as assigned by Management May occasionally work in other trades

Qualifications: 3-6 years experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting 2 Year Technical Degree or equivalent, Preferred Well versed in manufacturing safety practices and Lockout/Tag out protocols Must be able to demonstrate safe lifting capability for 50 pounds on a regular basis and be able to operate lifting mechanisms for heavier loads Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, samples, specifications and be able to follow verbal instructions Computer skills with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Familiar with Solid Works a plus Must have good written/verbal communication skills and be a creative thinker. Possess excellent people skills and work well in a team environment Experience using shop equipment, such as: drill press, mills, lathe, surface grinder, press break, shear, forklift Experience with air compressors, HVAC equipment, and electrical gear preferred

Requirements: Must be able to do the following: Tolerate perfume odors Follow all ISO 22716 rules and procedures, including wearing a hair net and beard net Follow and enforce all established safety rules and procedures Adhere to requirements of C-TPAT certification Maintain good attendance, cooperate with supervisors and fellow employees, and adhere to company rules and policies at all times Available to work overtime as required
