Summary of Job

The Housekeeper is a professional that ensures a positive overall impression of the property as well as provides the necessary service of ensuring the overall cleanliness of our campground including all public spaces and offices in the campground. 

Seasonal work is described as temporary work that occurs around the same period each year.  Generally, Housekeepers are needed May -- November.

The campground encourages all staff to strive for an environment that promotes creativity, teamwork, respect and consideration for one another. We will foster an environment that builds teamwork and challenges one another to perform exceptionally

Requirements

The Housekeeper is required to maintain a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends and holidays.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to very high standards for overall cleanliness and appearance of the property
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, dusting, polishing, washing windows and operating machinery to properly clean
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned, cared for and inspected according to standards and checklists
• Complete checklists for each building cleaned
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify manager of any destruction and damage
• Document any mechanical issues on a Maintenance Request Form
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Ensure adequate stocking levels of consumables are on hand at all times and place a replenishment order when minimum level is reached
• Complete and document routine checks throughout the day to ensure all communal areas are clean
• Deep cleaning of all public spaces during the off season and as needed
• Provide housekeeping support for special events including set up and break-down

Uniform

Tan pants, shorts or capris and uniform shirt.  All shorts must be mid-thigh length or longer. 

Recommend slip resistant shoes.  No open toe shoes are permitted.
