Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of food products. You will be involved in physically loading raw materials, operating machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining production logs.
Responsibilities
Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.
Keep both paper and electronic logs of materials fed into machines.
Operate machines to ensure products are processed for the correct runtime.
Perform quality checks on products as they are processed and packaged.
Mix finished products while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Prepare products according to established formulas and monitor production needs.
Perform deck set-up for daily schedules and operate equipment to aid in processing formulas.
Use local control panels to manage the addition of all metered and manually added ingredients to mix and transfer batches.
Essential Skills
Experience in food manufacturing and processing.
Proficiency as a processing machine operator.
Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.
Ability to perform quality control checks.
HS Diploma or GED and relevant experience in food processing.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and standard operating procedures.
Mathematical skills required to verify ingredient quantities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a team-oriented setting.

Work Environment
Work in a vibrant processing company with a team in a fast-paced environment. The area can be wet at times due to machine sanitation processes. Hearing protection is required due to the constant hum of machinery in the processing bay.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.41 - $21.41/hr.
