Job Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will direct the activities of employees engaged in manufacturing activities. Your responsibilities will include training and supervising staff, maintaining a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Direct and supervise all production activities performed by employees, ensuring high visibility and accessibility throughout the shift.
Establish and maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
Monitor and report daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
Report equipment problems to appropriate departments and the production manager.
Coordinate with Quality Control to maintain quality standards and take corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
Train, motivate, coach, reward, and discipline employees; resolve personnel issues.
Coordinate with the production manager on personnel management, including vacation approvals, time card approval, overtime, hiring, and training.
Perform administrative tasks and prepare required reports and correspondence.
Assist the production manager with policy and procedure development and implementation.
Inspect for proper sanitation of equipment and facilities and take corrective action as needed.
Resolve production-related issues with representatives from other departments.
Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems relevant to the work area.
Partner with the Safety Manager to implement safety programs and conduct all required safety training for employees.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of progressive production experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong supervisory skills and experience in production supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment involves supervising all production activities with a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift. The position is for the 2pm-11pm shift from Monday through Friday. The role requires coordination across departments and maintaining standards for productivity, reliability, and safety.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cerritos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
