First Line Supervisor Farm work

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months of experience as a field supervisor of vegetable harvest and row crop cleaning crews. Specific requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and being able to use hand tools, including cutting knives. Ability to walk on uneven ground and field conditions, bend, stretch, and raise arms, work as a team with all co-workers.

Work is performed in open fields and may involve exposure to mud, dust, wind, heat, cold, and other natural elements. Temperatures can range from 30 degrees Fahrenheit to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the period of employment. Workers should come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Must be able to use shears, clippers, hoe, and other agricultural tools, no smoking, illegal drugs, alcohol, or weapons of any sort in the housing or work fields.

Job description:

First Line Supervisor to perform the following duties

• Work under the direction of the Operations Manager

• Supervise and coordinate activities of agricultural workers engaged in maintenance, pre-harvest, harvest and other related field work.

• Assign daily tasks as directed by management and ensure workers are present and performing assigned duties.

• Monitor work progress and report productivity and work conditions to management.

• Observe workers to ensure compliance with safety and food safety policies and report violations to management.

• Provide instruction and demonstration of assigned tasks and proper use of tools and equipment.

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established quality standards.

• Record daily production information.

• Review time records for completeness and report discrepancies.

• Distribute tools and materials as directed and report inventory needs to management.

• Perform other related supervisory duties as directed by management.

Anticipated hours of work per week: 48 hours per week.

Schedule: 8 hours a day Mon to Sat

5:30 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Anticipated period of employment: May 10th, 2026 to Aug, 15th, 2026

Pay: $22.41 per hour

** Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
