We're building a new aerospace machine shop from the ground up and are looking for a Senior CNC Programmer who can lead by example, take full ownership of programming strategy, and work hands-on with machinists and engineers to deliver flight-critical hardware.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Lead CNC programming for 5-axis mills, mill-turn, and multi-spindle equipment
• Own program validation and optimization directly at the machine
• Translate complex aerospace designs into efficient, high-precision toolpaths
• Drive programming standards, workflows, and best practices as the shop scales
• Support rapid prototyping and evolving engineering designs
• Build and maintain tool libraries, workholding strategies, and documentation
• Mentor and support junior programmers and machinists
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Senior-level CNC programming experience in the aerospace industry
• Proven experience programming 5-axis milling and mill-turn machines
• Hands-on experience with ESPRIT EDGE, hyperMILL, Mastercam, NX, or CATIA
• Strong understanding of feeds & speeds, chip control, tooling, fixturing, and materials
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for post processors, toolpaths, and machine setups
• Comfortable programming tight-tolerance, high-performance aerospace components
• Confident working independently while collaborating closely with engineering and machining teams
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
• Experience machining titanium, Inconel, and nickel superalloys
• Background with Mazak machines, virtual machine verification, and post tuning
• Experience in both prototype and production machining environments
• Startup or greenfield manufacturing experience
• Ability to build systems, not just programs
SCHEDULE & PAY
• 1st shift (with potential overtime)
• $86,000 -- $109,000 per year, based on experience
