Allosource Microbiology Research Associate in Centennial, Colorado

*Summary: *

This position must be able to function in focused technical area(s) with direct supervision and will assist in the completion and execution of microbiological scientific studies and validations.

The Microbiology Research Associate I position will focus on efforts that address the needs of the Company's ongoing research, laboratory, quality, operations, and development activities with an emphasis on microbiological testing, characterization, validation, method development, process improvements, and optimization.

Pay: $

23.00/hr.  - $29.00/hr. based upon years of relevant experience 

*Shift: *  Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *

  • Assist microbiological research studies and validations pertaining to evaluation of the safety and efficacy of allograft processing methodologies.
  • Assist microbiological studies and validations pertaining to allograft testing methods and allograft process improvements.
  • Perform basic data analysis and interpretation of study results.
  • Assist in the support and execution of intradepartmental projects and activities as necessary.
  • Assist in and support enterprise level projects and activities as necessary.
  • Act as a microbiology liaison to assigned project management team.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

*Requirements: *

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, or related field
  • 1+ years' industry or laboratory setting (e.g. human tissue processor, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biologics company)
  • 1+ years' experience in microbiology techniques and procedures (e.g., microbial growth, isolation and identification, product and raw material sterility testing, bioburden testing, environmental testing, bacteriostasis / fungistasis testing)
  • 1+ years' experience in laboratory test method development, optimization, and validation
  • Familiarity with cGLP, cGTP, cGMP, ISO standards, and USP methodologies
  • 0 years' experience with master's degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)

     

*Preferred Experience: *

  • Master's degree in Microbiology, or related field 
  • 0 years' experience with a Master's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in the sports medicine field
  • 3+ years' experience working within a laboratory
  • Biological product development
  • Tissue banking experience
