26-Week Contract | 36 Hours/Week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse (PMH RN) to join a Crisis Unit in Cedartown, GA. The PMH RN utilizes nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. This role focuses on crisis intervention, assessment, treatment, and patient education for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to coordinate patient care efficiently in a high-acuity behavioral health environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric and psychosocial assessments
Provide crisis stabilization and therapeutic nursing interventions
Administer and monitor psychiatric medications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and prevention strategies
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all regulations
Minimum Requirements
? Current Georgia RN license (or compact license valid in GA)
? Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience
? Current CPR certification
? TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, as applicable)
? Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
? Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
? Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation
Local Contract:
- $44/hour
Travel Package:
$20/hour taxable
? $400/week meals stipend
$700/week housing stipend
Approx. $1,830/week total compensation
