Robert Half Facilities Coordinator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Facilities Coordinator to support a local team for a short project, maintenance requests, vendor coordination, and general facility needs. This role ensures the building runs smoothly, supports employees onsite, and helps maintain a safe, organized working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for facility-related requests, maintenance issues, and workspace needs

  • Coordinate and schedule work with external vendors (cleaning, HVAC, landscaping, repairs, etc.)

  • Assist with routine facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance

  • Monitor inventory of supplies and reorder as needed (office, breakroom, facility supplies)

  • Support facilities projects such as workstation moves, small renovations, or equipment installations

  • Manage incoming service tickets, track progress, and follow up until resolved

  • Ensure meeting rooms, common areas, and shared spaces are maintained and functioning properly

  • Assist with security access, badge requests, and basic safety procedures

  • Support emergency preparedness activities (drills, signage, documentation)

  • Provide general administrative support to Facilities or Operations leadership

    Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in facilities, office coordination, maintenance support, or related role preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions

  • Excellent communication and customer‑service mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, internal teams, and leadership

  • Basic proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and ticketing or maintenance systems

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with light physical tasks as needed
