Job Description

Position Overview

This role exists to provide controls engineering support to assigned product lines. The key customers are the Process CenteredOwner, manufacturing, purchasing and vendors, Technical Service Team, Field Service, and our end customers. The deliverablesfrom this role are electrical engineering design, programming for logic controllers and visualization interface, and technical support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • For assigned product lines, maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and control program that complies with established Novlex and industry standards.

  • Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturingefficiency and lowest warranty. This balance should also account for the highest operational efficiency and lowestmaintenance requirement.

  • Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, and change requests/non-conformances for assigned product lines.

  • Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required insupport of assigned product lines.

  • Support the Engineering Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs throughdeveloping and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes.

  • Maintain at minimum a 30-day backlog of all assigned non-conformances.

Education and/or Experience Requirements (Qualifications)

Required

  • Degreed Engineer (preferably electrical, will consider mechanical or chemical).

  • 2-5 years professional experience related to this position

  • Proficient with CAD - AutoCad or SolidWorks preferred.

  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation controls platform – ControlLogix prefered

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

·Manufacturing experience

·Good understanding of mechanical systems

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: (if applicable)

· Able to travel up to 25%

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state andlocal standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
