Special Education Teacher – $42/hr – Cedar Hill, TX – In-Person – 12 WeeksPosition Overview:

The Special Education Teacher provides individualized academic and behavioral support to K–12 students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This educator delivers specialized instruction, supports IEP development and progress monitoring, provides classroom and 1:1 support, and collaborates with general education staff to ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations.

Assignment Details:

Location: Cedar Hill, TX

Start Date: 03/2/2026

Duration: 12 weeks (through May 22, 2026)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 40 hours per week (approx. 7:50 a.m.–4:20 p.m.)

Pay Rate: $42/hour (local)

Modality: In-person

Openings: 1 position

Details of Assignment:

  • High School inclusion-based Special Education position

  • Serving 15 students

  • Two paraeducators available for classroom support

  • Teaching responsibilities include small-group and 1:1 instruction, IEP writing, implementation, and progress monitoring

  • In-person only

  • Interview not required unless requested by client

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to high-school students with diverse learning needs

  • Write, implement, and monitor IEP goals

  • Support behavioral and academic interventions

  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

  • Maintain documentation in accordance with state and professional standards

  • Ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented consistently

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Special Education Teaching Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • School-based SPED experience preferred

  • CPR certification if applicable

  • TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
