Special Education Teacher – $42/hr – Cedar Hill, TX – 12-Week Assignment
Position Overview:
The Special Education Teacher provides services to students in grades PK–3 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This educator delivers specialized instruction, supports behavioral needs, assists with IEP implementation, and collaborates with general education staff to help students succeed academically and socially.
Assignment Details:
Location: Cedar Hill, TX
Start Date: March 2, 2026
End Date: May 22, 2026
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7:55 a.m.–4:10 p.m.)
Pay Rate: $42/hour (local)
Modality: In-person
Openings: 1 position
Details of Assignment:
PK–3 behavioral classroom
11-student caseload
Students may require toileting support
Two paraeducators assigned to the classroom
Duties include specialized instruction, behavioral support, and documentation
Virtual or in-person interview accepted
Responsibilities:
Provide small-group and individualized specialized instruction
Support behavioral and social-emotional needs
Implement accommodations, modifications, and IEP-aligned services
Collaborate with paraeducators and school staff
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional standards
Requirements:
Active Special Education teaching certification preferred
Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
CPR, TB screening, and health certificate if required
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
