ManpowerGroup Sr Electrical Engineer in Cedar City, Utah

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Sr Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Sr Electrical Engineer

Location: Cedar City, Utah

What's the Job?

  • Own and manage the plant’s high voltage power distribution system and low voltage process control systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Collaborate closely with maintenance electricians and production operators to implement continuous improvement initiatives and educational programs.

  • Oversee and execute expansion projects, including designing electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for new and upgraded equipment.

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical malfunctions, perform diagnostic testing, and provide technical expertise to minimize downtime.

  • Design and maintain automation and control systems such as PLCs and SCADA systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and safety.

What's Needed?

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience working as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.

  • Proven supervisory or team-lead experience, with the ability to manage operations technology personnel.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems, including PLCs and DCS.

  • Strong understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance practices.
