Overview
Support programs that strengthen agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, and forestry across Utah. This internship provides hands-on experience assisting with research-based education and outreach, connecting university knowledge with real-world applications for producers, land managers, and communities. Interns will gain exposure to fieldwork, program delivery, and problem-solving in diverse agricultural and natural resource settings.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the coordination and implementation of Iron County Master Gardener programs, including event support and volunteer engagement.
Assist with the collection, organization, and basic analysis of horticultural research data to support four different new and ongoing projects.
Support the maintenance and management of research plots and demonstration gardens, including those used for the Iron County Junior Master Gardener program and county Water Wise Demonstration Garden.
Develop practical skills in plant diagnostics by helping identify plant health issues and contributing to public diagnostic services during the weekly plant diagnostics lab.
Plan and deliver hands-on educational activities and lessons for youth participating in the Junior Master Gardener program and horticulture summer camps.
