The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Elementary Librarian to serve students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4. The successful candidate will foster a love of reading, support literacy development, and collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and information literacy into classroom instruction.
Responsibilities Provide engaging library instruction and programming for students in PK-4 Promote reading, research skills, and information literacy Maintain and manage the elementary library collection and resources Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum and literacy initiatives Encourage a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity and lifelong reading Assist students in locating and selecting appropriate materials Support district literacy goals and initiatives
Salary: $48,110-&72,755
Qualifications Preferred: New York State Library Media Specialist Certification Also Accepted: NYS Reading Teacher / Literacy Certification with Elementary Teaching Experience NYS English Language Arts Certification with Elementary Teaching Experience Candidates with strong literacy backgrounds and a passion for fostering reading and library engagement in elementary students are encouraged to apply.
