Casper Natrona Health Dept Disease Prevention Nurse Public Health in CASPER, Wyoming
The Casper-Natrona County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Registered Nurse to join our Disease Prevention team. This position plays a critical role in
protecting community health through prevention, education, and clinical services across multiple
public health programs.
This role offers a dynamic and meaningful work environment, providing services in
immunizations, family planning, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, and
tuberculosis (TB) management. The Disease Prevention Nurse also participates in communicable
disease investigations and public health emergency preparedness activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical services including immunizations, STI screening/treatment, TB testing, and
family planning education
• Conduct patient assessments, screenings, and follow-up care
• Educate individuals and groups on disease prevention and health promotion
• Participate in communicable disease investigations and reporting
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners
• Support public health emergency preparedness and response efforts
