MetLife ServiceNow Platform Engineer in Cary, North Carolina

Role Value Proposition:

As a Junior Engineer on the ServiceNow Platform team, you will contribute to the development and support of solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance user experience across the enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, agile environment. You’ll be involved in building, testing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and integrations, with mentorship and guidance from senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and configuration of ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD).

  • Support the implementation of workflows, forms, and UI policies.

  • Participate in code reviews and testing activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Maintain documentation for development and configuration work.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues under supervision.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 0-2 years of experience with ServiceNow or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Internship or academic project experience with ServiceNow.

  • Exposure to Agile development practices.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
