Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
The CNC Machine Operator will set up and operate Haas and OKUMA CNC machinery in a job shop environment, focusing on high-quality production runs. This role involves reading blueprints, adjusting tooling, and performing precise inspections to ensure each part meets strict quality standards during long production runs.
Responsibilities
Operate Haas and OKUMA CNC machines to complete production runs according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints to set up and run CNC milling operations accurately.
Change and adjust tooling as needed to maintain optimal machine performance and part quality.
Perform in-process and final quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
Monitor machine performance during long production runs and make adjustments to maintain quality over quantity.
Troubleshoot basic machining and production issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards in a job shop environment.
Collaborate with team members in machining and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
Essential Skills
Less than 3 years of CNC mill experience in a production or job shop environment.
Hands-on experience operating CNC Haas mills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
Experience with CNC machine operation, including milling and machining processes.
Basic troubleshooting skills for CNC machines and machining processes.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality parts over high volume.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively in a structured production environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
