ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Performs professional and administrative work in conducting and coordinating the Recidivism Reduction Services (RRS) program including teaching the Cognitive Behavior Intervention (CBI) classes and maintaining requirement documentation; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Youth Services/Day Reporting Center Supervisor. This position is available for the duration of the Recidivism Reduction Services (RRS) program and available grant funds.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Thorough knowledge of Moral Reconation Therapy Cognitive Behavior Intervention model General knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues Ability to relate to and interact tactfully with clientele Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public General working knowledge of computer-based applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree from an appropriately accredited institution OR Associate Degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of directly related experience AND Required to either possess Prisoner Rape Elimination Act (PREA) training documentation or be able to obtain the training completion documentation within six (6) months of employment
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina drivers license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Work requires stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work and observing general surroundings and activities.
