Waste Connectionsis looking for a safety consciousCDL Route Driverfor our location inCarson, Washington. Schedule isMonday - Friday,with occasional Saturdays. Start time is6:00 AMand runs until route is complete. Average work day is 9-11 hrs. Starting wage is$36.59/HR Safety Sensitive Position:Yes Job Description: In this position, you are responsible for collecting waste from residential and commercial customers and transporting it safely in arear load truckto a landfill and/or transfer station. This is a local route, servicing Skamania and Klickitat counties. As aCDL DriverwithColumbia River Disposalyou must be RELIABLE & SAFETY-MINDED. You should also be highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with both customers and colleagues. Requirements: ValidClass B CDLwith air brake endorsementrequired Clean Driving Record Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws Ability to work 40-50 hours a week Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments Physical Demands: This a very physically demanding job with big time benefits! Ability to function in a wide variety of environments to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments (i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and move and maneuver up to 100 pounds Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times every day while on route What We Offer: Annual Safety Bonuses up to$1,500!
