As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the project deliverables for cabin industrialization on new programs as part of the integrated program team. You will develop and execute industrialization plans aligning with cabin standards and program goals, representing the industrialization team in customer and program meetings. Your role involves creating the production element of the industrial dossier, including Manufacturing Bill of Materials, routers, and standardized work instructions.
Responsibilities
Manage project deliverables for cabin industrialization on new programs.
Develop and execute industrialization plans according to cabin standards and program goals.
Represent the industrialization team in customer and program meetings.
Create the production element of the industrial dossier, including Manufacturing Bill of Materials, routers, and standardized work instructions.
Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to develop optimal production processes.
Coordinate with Facilities to ensure necessary production floor space and support is allocated according to the schedule.
Provide feedback to the Design group for DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly).
Integrate plans for the design, manufacture, and implementation of new tools or prototypes.
Develop a detailed phasing schedule for the implementation of new lines.
Establish cycle time and Takt Time standards and plans to achieve them.
Maintain industrialization metrics in line with cabin standard KPI’s and communicate performance regularly.
Analyze and manage industrial process and product risks during development.
Champion and implement Lean principles.
Lead and participate in Kaizen and 3P events to develop improvements and plans.
Support departmental and personal objectives and measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
4-5 years of experience
Proficient with Windows Operating System, Office XP, AutoCAD
Knowledge of design software
Experience with airworthiness regulations and LEAN tools such as value stream mapping (VSM) and '5S'.
Strong knowledge of primary processes like CNC machining, layup, and crush core.
Work Environment
This is an intermediate-mid-level position within the industrial engineering field. The role will involve working with various teams and departments to ensure optimal production processes and standards are met. The work environment supports the implementation of Lean principles and continuous improvement through collaborative events such as Kaizen and 3P.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
