Job Summary
The Engineer, Mechanical II develops mechanical and electromechanical systems by coordinating fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal performance. Evaluates mechanical products and field installations to determine cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Recommends design modifications and implements process improvements to enhance reliability, reduce malfunctions, and maintain quality levels in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administers mechanical design projects, ensuring that all technical specifications and requirements are met. The engineer plays a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of mechanical design, analysis, and testing, while ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards.
Analyzes mechanical systems and components, using established engineering procedures to assess performance, functionality, and safety. The engineer evaluates systems for efficiency and reliability, recommending improvements where necessary.
Applies knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to design moderately complex systems and components. The engineer contributes to product development, ensuring designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Coordinates projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design, and quality assurance, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet technical requirements. The engineer assists in managing timelines, deliverables, and resources.
Designs mechanical systems or components using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The engineer creates detailed technical drawings, models, and prototypes to support product development and improvement.
Evaluates mechanical systems performance by conducting tests, simulations, and analyses. The engineer ensures that designs are validated against expected performance and industry standards, making recommendations for adjustments or enhancements.
Identifies opportunities to optimize designs and manufacturing processes by collaborating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders. The engineer leverages technical knowledge to contribute to process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency enhancements.
Documents engineering specifications and technical reports, ensuring that all findings, designs, and changes are accurately recorded and clearly communicated. The engineer prepares reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Recommends engineering solutions based on data analysis, simulations, and tests. The engineer presents findings and offers suggestions for product or process improvements to leadership.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical Engineering or engineering related field.
2-4 Years of Experience

5-7 Years of Experience: Mechanical Engineering or engineering related field.
