Job Title: Electronics Technician First Shift ($20)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician with a strong experience in SMT soldering and rework to join our team. This role requires expertise in handling small-pitch components and board-level repairs, ensuring the efficient functioning of electronic systems.
Responsibilities
Perform SMT soldering and rework, including handling small-pitch components.
Replace and resolder SMT parts such as ICs, QFN packages, and small surface-mount devices.
Remove and replace components with 100+ legs efficiently.
Read and interpret control board schematics accurately.
Troubleshoot and repair ICs and 402 resistors.
Identify root causes of board-level failures and implement solutions.
Conduct board-level repair, including reading, repairing, and replacing parts.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in an electronics technician or similar role.
Proficiency in SMT (surface mount parts) and QFN parts.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing ICs and 402 resistors.
Strong soldering skills.
Ability to read schematics and control boards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with thru-hole soldering.
Exposure to BGA rework.
Formal root cause analysis methodology experience.
Prior experience troubleshooting complex control boards in production environments.
Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, team player able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Ability to make decisions and use basic soldering tools.
Willingness to learn production/quality standards and assembly procedures.
Ability to operate scanner gun and forklift (stand-up, picker, turret).

Our facility is a well-lit, clean, and temperature-controlled environment, divided between assembly/warehouse, electronics settings for circuit board manufacturing, and fabrication areas. All spaces are organized to ensure an efficient and safe working atmosphere

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
